How do I set up an account?
Please complete the details on the parent information pack provided and return to your school office. If you do not have an information pack please visit your school office and provide your email address to activate an account. You will then receive an email from School Grid with all of your necessary login details and a link to your new account.
My child has numerous allergies/ dietary requirements, are you still able to provide a school meal?
Our sophisticated allergen blocking system recognises the 13 major allergens. Once you have selected which allergens apply, the system will prevent any unsafe meals from being ordered for your child. How do I make payments?
There are a range of payment options available. Either choose to sign up to Direct Debit or pay by credit/debit card online via your account or over the telephone with our Customer Care team available Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm. Please note there is a minimum payment of £10 required when paying over the telephone.
How do I set up a direct debit?
You can easily set up a Direct Debit online via your School Grid account. Simply login and head to ‘account’ – ‘direct debit’ and enter the details required. Payments will be taken on your selected payment date and you will receive a full statement two weeks before stating the total amount due along with a list of the meals your child has taken.
Do I get charged for a meal which isn't eaten by my child?
No, you will only ever be charged for meals your child has eaten.
Can I use childcare vouchers to pay for school meals?
Unfortunately we cannot accept childcare vouchers as payment for school meals.
How do I pre order sides and desserts?
We do not offer the option to pre order sides and desserts, each child will get a choice of sides and desserts at lunchtime. Our system will inform the cook of any options a child cannot have based on allergens.
How can I see what is served with the main dish which I am pre ordering for my child?
When pre ordering your dishes, on the order meals page of School Grid, there is a tab which says [full menu]. This is where you will find a full list of all items on service each day, here you will also be able to view all nutritional content.
Am I entitled to free school meals?
If your child is in Reception / KS1 then you are entitled to Universal Free School meals. This will automatically be set up on your account as free, all the other features can be used as normal.
If your child is in Nursery / KS2, you may still be entitled to Free School Meals, please contact your local authority, to find out if you are eligible
