Merry Christmas and a thank you to all Dolce Schools Catering staff

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has played a part in delivering high quality, nutritious meals to our schools this year, despite the unexpected challenges everyone has been thrown.

This includes our cooks and chefs up and down the country and our operations team, who all work tirelessly to ensure that our schools receive a service that is fully bespoke to their needs, and one that they, the children and parents are all delighted with.

It is with great pleasure that we can share some of the excellent feedback we have received in way of thanks to everyone involved. The amount of outstanding feedback we have received from our schools has been overwhelming and heartwarming – thank you to all!

“I just wanted to email to say a massive thank you and well done to you and your staff for the Christmas dinner today.  The food was lovely  and the staff provided an excellent service, it ran really smoothly and the children really enjoyed it”, Charlotte Daly, School Business Manager, Hopping Hill Primary School.

“I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with the quality of the food from the team here at Barton. Sharon and her team did an amazing job with the service, the food was served beautifully and as I went around the children they were all telling me how tasty the turkey was”, Marek, Head of Barton Seagrave Primary School.

“Di did an amazing Christmas Dinner for everyone today.  Children scored her 10/10 an really loved her festive biscuits”, Julie Probert, School Business Manager, St Louis Catholic Primary School.

“Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into Christmas lunch. It was lovely to see the children enjoying their lunch. It was delicious!” Mrs Catherine Nisbet, Headteacher, Mrs Bland’s Infant and Nursery School.

Thank you for “…the effort that they have put in to make sure the children have a great Xmas lunch today. They had to prepare and serve approx 215 Turkey dinners and 42 Vegetarian (including staff and MDA’s) which is a huge amount of meals to get sorted for lunch.

I had lunch myself as did many staff members who said they really enjoyed the food… it was lovely!

I wanted to make sure the staff were recognised for their efforts today both with the food and the decorations around the servery – they did us proud. Thankyou.”

Julie Bryan, Office Manager, Geoffrey Field Junior School.

“It’s a pleasure working with you and I appreciate everything you do for our school”, Headteacher, Jo MacArthur, Willows and Enborne.

“Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all your efforts yesterday with xmas dinner. I can genuinely say that it was the nicest one I have ever done – so calm, so organised. The food tasted lovely – both staff and children gave you all so many compliments about how much they enjoyed it and how good it tasted.

On a personal note, I had to take mine home as I was teaching after serving so I didn’t get a chance to eat it in school – so my daughter and I shared it and had a mini xmas dinner in front of Home Alone last night.

My daughter is a tough one to impress and she said it was AMAZING and wanted me to pass on her compliments and thanks to you all.

As a Headteacher, I know how important it is to have good catering staff – you really do make a difference – THANK YOU!

Merry xmas to you all – have a great xmas break”, Jo MacArthur, Headteacher – The Willows Primary School, LA strategic lead for Assessment.

“What can I say…you are brilliant!! Christmas lunch all ran so smoothly today. Thank you so much to you and your team for all your preparation, gaining plates from the Willows, arranging for hats to be sent to the schools and wonderful organisation today…THANK YOU”, Julie Stancombe, Parsons Down Partnership of Schools.

“I just wanted to pass on my thanks to Kerry and her team for a fantastic Christmas lunch over the last 2 days. The food was wonderful, especially the sponge and custard.  The parents group on facebook has been full of praise for the team, they especially liked the stuffing.

The team has been so accommodating and supportive whilst we adapted the way in which lunches are served due to Covid and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Have a fabulous Christmas and best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year”, Mrs Marilyn Frank, School Business Manager, St Sampson’s CE Primary School.
