DOLCE: IN THE NEWS

We’re on the countdown to the Easter holidays, and we’re taking a look over the first three months of 2026, which have been incredibly busy with our team talking to media about trends, ideas and news.

In January, our Director Adam Curtis was asked to be the education expert in the Foodservice Forum feature in Contract Catering magazine. Adam shared his views on what the big industry issues in 2026 will be. You can read more on his thoughts here and a big thank you to the Editor for inviting Adam to take part.

In February, we announced the good news that Dolce was named in the top three of the ProVeg UK Contract Caterer Ranking 2025/26, cementing our position as one of England’s most plant-forward and planet-friendly school caterers.
Now in its second year, ProVeg UK’s Contract Caterer Ranking recognises contract caterers that put health and sustainability at the heart of their school food offer. Caterers are assessed on the promotion of plant-based foods, the quantity and quality of plant-based dishes, and the transparency and communication of sustainable, plant-based options across their menus and websites.
The news ran across various outlets including Public Sector Catering here, The School Food People here and the Warrington Guardian here.

Our chefs Neil Price and Andrew Deeny contributed expert comments for a ‘Free From’ food feature in Public Sector Catering magazine March issue here and a ‘Chinese Food’ feature in Contract Catering magazine Jan/Feb issue here.

We then had a second news announcement go live reporting on our recent partnerships with Olio and ReFood, as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing food waste across the schools we serve. The partnerships allow us to ensure that any unavoidable waste is handled responsibly – whether that’s being turned into renewable energy or shared with members of the local community who need it.
News of the partnerships has been picked up by various publications including The Educator UK here, Warrington Worldwide here, the School Food People here and Foodservice Equipment Journal here.

Happy reading!
